Samsung has unveiled its new set of devices but the star of the show is definitely Samsung Note 20 Ultra. Well these are my thoughts on the newly released Samsung Note 20 Ultra.

Refinement

Earlier this year Samsung launched a super-premium smartphone, S20 ultra. It had a 108-megapixel primary camera, 100x zoom, and 16 gigs of ram. The features were great, but implementation wasn’t that good. The dynamic range of the camera could be better and so was fixed via software updates. Auto-Focus took a major hit which couldn’t be salved by software improvements. Samsung Note 20 Ultra comes with the same 108 mp camera but with a much better dynamic range and a laser autofocus module. S20 ultra had 120 Hz display but you had only 2 options either 120 Hz or 60 Hz. For Note we have an adaptive screen which means frame rates adjust automatically from 1-120 Hz according to requirement. Note 20 ultra comes with gorilla glass 7 which is more protective than gorilla glass 6 of S20 ultra. The note comes with the new and faster UFS 3.1. S-Pen now is much better than before, as the latency is dropped from 42 ms to 9 ms.

Not So Good News

S20 ultra had a huge battery of 5000 mAh, but Note 20 ultra comes with 4500 mAh but it hardly matters as it has adaptive screen ad new more optimized software. Note 20 ultra comes with 12 gigs of ram compared to 16 gigs on S20 ultra, this is not much of a bummer because you don’t need that much of ram. 100x zoom is now decreased to 50x zoom and the selfie camera is now 10 megapixels compared to S20’s 40 megapixels. But the deal-breaker might be the old Exynos 990 running the show in India compared to snapdragon 865+ in American regions.

Partnerships

Samsung last year joined hands with Microsoft, which made our life much easy. one click on your Samsung phone and you can transfer photos on your windows device and even you could make a call. Well, this time it’s a whole another level, you can use all your android apps on your pc or laptop directly. They also have a partnership with Xbox. Now you can use your Xbox pass on your Samsung mobile and on pre-ordering Note 20 ultra you get 3 months of that pass for free.
