Although Google Play Store comes pre-installed with almost every android phone available in the market today, there are a number of other third party app stores for android smartphones which are worth giving a try. The Amazon Appstore is the best app store after Google play store according to me. It is available by default on all Amazon Fire devices. Since this app store is backed by Amazon, you can easily rely on its security and verification of apps. Moreover, Amazon Appstore offers numerous apps for free which are paid apps in other app stores. Amazon app store is an android application which you can install on your phone without any issues.
2. Aptoide
Aptoide is one of the oldest third party Appstore available for android smartphones. Aptoide offers all the latest apps and games on android. It is available to download as an app on android. The only down side to this app store is that it lacks tight security check on apps. So there’s a chance that you might end up downloading malware to your phone.
3. APKMirror
APKMirror is technically not an app store but a repository of apps with all of their older versions. It is not available as an android app as others listed above. Still APKMirror is widely used by android smartphone users as it gives the choice of any version of the app. Moreover, it avails the latest version of the app in production as well as in beta. Uptodown is a reliable play store alternative. This app store checks the app for malware and hence it is secure to use the store. There is no paid content on the store as it has no payment system. So paid apps are not available on this store and apps with in-app purchases start with an error.
